Dental Phobia is a real condition categorized by anxiety and psychological concerns. Common concerns are feeling not in control, being worried about diagnosis, fear of injections, anxiety caused by noise, fear of gagging or choking during treatment. Dr. Daxon and Dr. Grundset understand these fears and anxieties. Our office is designed with your comfort in mind. We have a number of amenities to make your dental experience as pleasurable as possible.
For those who do have dental phobia, sedation dentistry is a wonderful option to ease anxiety and fear. Depending on the patient, dental sedation is administered in the form of a pill, through nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or IV sedation. Sometimes called “sleep dentistry,” patients remain awake and conscious throughout the procedure for safety and cooperation.
